Aporia is a network of simulacra. The work exsists on two planes, the emotional plane, a literal/metaphorical representation, and the conceptual plane. The conceptual plane consists only of signs. The signified are veiled through abstraction and encryption. Social entities are refered to only by the IP address of their internet presence. Technological entities are represented as patent numbers or diagrams. Products of the social entities are present in the conceptual plane. This includes government documents released through the "Freedom of Information Act". The emotional plane is a metaphorical representation of a figure, curled in turmoil in a super-industrial landscape. The figure represents the emotional scape that most of our contemporary minds occupy.
